Parker McCollum released a new version of his single "Killin' Me" featuring "I Hope You Dance" singer Lee Ann Wormack. McCollum and Womack performed the hit single on the 61st annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
 

The Texas Country Music Association announced the Top 5 Finalists in 25 of the 28 categories for the 2026 Texas Country Music Awards. Final Round Voting began July 1 and ends August 15 at midnight on the TCMA website at www.texascountrymusic.org. The winners will be announced on Sunday, November 9th in the Fort Worth Stockyards at the World’s Largest Honky Tonk, Billy Bob’s Texas. The 2026 TCMA Trailblazer Award will be given to Aaron Watson and the TCMA Moe Bandy Icon Award will be given to Robert Gallagher of Billy Bob’s

Willie Nelson has partnered with Dixxon Flannel Co. for a limited collection of men's, women's and youth flannel shirts.
 

Warren Zeiders has become an investor in the Premier Lacrosse League, an eight-team men’s professional league in North America. The Outskirts of Heaven singer has also teamed with MasterCraft Boat Company and truck accessory brand RealTruck for a charitable fundraising effort benefiting nonprofit Building Homes for Heroes.  
 

Robert Earl Keen has announced the lineup for his 5th Annual Homecoming Weekend, running Sept. 5–7 at Floore’s Country Store in Helotes. The weekend features a 30th‑anniversary full‑band set of No. 2 Live Dinner on Sept. 5, a “Songs & Stories” night on Sept. 6 with Ray Wylie Hubbard, Steve Poltz, Suzy Bogguss, and Keen, and a free Fan Appreciation Day on Sept. 7 with surprise guests and a headlining set from Keen & Band. The Sept. 7 ticket lottery is open now, and all other tickets — including VIP — are on sale.

Shooter Jennings has announced Diamonds, the second album built from a collection of previously unreleased recordings by his late father Waylon Jennings. The project will be available on November 13 across physical formats and digital download. The announcement also includes the release of the title track, “Diamonds,” which features a guest performance from the late Glen Campbell
 

Olivia Harms and her Western Swing and Cowgirl Hall of Fame Mother Joni Harms did not get to celebrate Independence Day on American soil. They actually packed their gear and flew over to Norway for at least 7 shows over 2 weeks. The shows started July 3rd and continue thru July 18th. Fun Fact, Olivia and her mother’s ancestors are from Norway.

There are a few changes going on with AJ Vallejo. AJ has a new solo single out and his Love & Chaos duet partner Kendall does as well but rest assured that Love & Chaos is alive & well and will have a new song out as well. AJ did say that his band Brodie Lane is taking a break for a while BUT his other band Vallejo will be releasing a new album in 2027.

RED DIRT PROUD NOMINATED: Red Dirt Proud with JB Cloud was nominated again for Syndicated Specialty Show again, an award that was given to us in 2025. The Texas Country Music Associaion 2026 Industry Awards Top 5 Finalists were announce. Presentations to be made at TCMA’s 2026 Texas Country Music Industry Awards
on July 23 at the Rhinestone Saloon in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Final round voting is going on between March 15, 2026, and April 30, 2026, and will be voted on by members of the Texas Country Music Association and other verifiable industry stakeholders.
