Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and fans of Britt Kerr who passed away on March 4th. Britt has fought liver disease for many years. He currently has a single out and many stations are spinning it in his honor to help that song climb the charts for him one last time.
2025 Seems to be the Year for Cross Canadian Ragweed. Cody Canada and his band The Departed were playing at Cain’s Ballroom in Oklahoma and were surprised on stage by other members of Ragweed and were told that they would be the newest inductees into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
Send some big love, thoughts and prayers out to Roger Creager and his family. Roger’s dad Bill Creager passed away last week. Bill, a former Marine, loved to come to his son’s shows, get on stage and sing Rancho Grande wit him. If you met his dad, you were probably a bigger fan of him than his son. He will be great missed.
Finis Smith lost his Ranch House to a wild land fire on March 2nd. Everybody was ok and not harmed but the ranch house property was deemed a total loss.
Jesse Raub Jr finally wrapped up his duet late last year so he could release a new single of his own but he just released a new digital single for fans and it is another duet. Jesse Raub Jr. and Sunny Sweeney release this season’s must have wedding song with the heartfelt duet "The Answer Is Yes". It’s a declaration of certainty—no doubts, no second-guessing, the kind of love that's meant to be, the magic of a first kiss, late-nights, and always being in.
Kaitlin Butts, singer and wife of Flatland Cavalry frontman Cleto Cordero, is featured in CMT’s Next Women of Country along with 6 other ladies of Country Music. There are items from each lady on display in Nashville.
Bri Bagwell has 7 pair of red boots. Well, she had 7 pair. One pair was a display pair that was given to her years ago by Anderson Bean that she puts on stage for every show. Fans have filled those boots with tips, beer, beads and a few brave souls have even drank from those boots. Well, they have gone missing. Someone stole them off the stage at a recent show. Some fans have offered up a reward for their return.
The boys from Cross Canadian Ragweed are showing their support for Our Daily Bread, a non-profit group in Stillwater and Payne County, Oklahoma that provides connections to resources that enables lasting change in peoples lives. Look up and follow @Ourdailybreadstillwater to show your support.
Johnny Chopps from the Randy Rogers Band had something on his bucket list that he can officially mark off. He has had a life goal of playing a bad guy in a western then writing a song for it. That dream came true recently. Look up Killin’ Jim Kelly and stream the song Single Action 45 everywhere.
After 17 years the folks at the Lone Star Jam have decided to put their festival on hold due to rising costs of production, logistical challenges and the changing landscape of live music. They worked hard to come up with an amazing 2025 lineup but they just didn’t feel like it lived up to fan expectations. The price for printing, security, rentals, fencing, etc have gone up but the price to hire all these artists have jumped a TON over the years. Lone Star Jam is not saying goodbye…they are just putting their festival on hold for this year.
