Our Thoughts and Prayers go out to Deryl Dodd who is fighting some big health issues. A year ago he came to stay with a close friend and get a regular doctor. Being on the road his whole life, whenever he got sick, he just saw whoever could see him. Deryl was pretty run down and after many tests they started to work on things until something big popped up. No details were giving but we are told Deryl needs our prayers and got news nobody wants to hear. Double D is in the biggest fight of his life and all he is asking for is love and prayers.
If you’re in Nashville on June 3, you’re invited to celebrate ACM Group of the Year The Red Clay Strays at their Grateful album‑release concert at The Pinnacle. Fans will get to hear songs from the record before its official June 5 release.
Jake Worthington shared on Friday that he’s stepping back from music to focus on his own well‑being and to be the best husband and father he can be. He’s the latest in a growing wave of Texas artists — including Randall King choosing their mental and physical health over the grind and not‑so‑glamorous reality of life on the road.
Tristan Roberson just added “international artist” to his résumé. He hit the stage at MTY Country Fest in Santiago, NL, Mexico this past weekend and even got to meet one of his favorites, Braxton Keith. The lineup also featured Texas standouts David Lewis, Payton Howie, Jake Bush, and Matt Castillo.
How would you like to hear about your Grand Ole Opry debut from Kaitlin Butts herself? That’s exactly how Red Dirt group Jason Scott & The High Heat got the news about their June 11 debut — delivered straight from Kaitlin. They’re already joking about trying to fit the whole band inside the sacred circle.
Robert Earl Keen's Gravitational Forces released in 2001 amidst a rapidly changing world at the turn of the millennium. An album that neither chased trends nor shouted over the noise and continues to hold its place as one of the defining records in Robert Earl Keen’s catalog. To celebrate the 25th anniversary, Robert Earl Keen and Lost Highway are joining hands once again for a special reissue of the seminal LP, out July 10. This new pressing features a special-edition opaque forest green vinyl along with new album notes from Keen’s daughter, Clara Rose.
Texas/Red Dirt shines in the 2026 Americana Awards nominations: Turnpike Troubadours, Flatland Cavalry, and Charley Crockett are all up for awards. The show returns to the Ryman on Sept. 16, with Charley nominated for Artist of the Year and Turnpike and Flatland up for Duo/Group of the Year.
The lineup is out for the third annual Everybody’s Somebody Fest on September 5 in Fredericksburg, TX — with Band of Heathens, Hayes Carll, The Wilder Blue, and more leading the Texas‑heavy bill. Tickets available now https://tickets.holdmyticket.com/tickets/450592
Treaty Oak Revival’s fans are known for getting a little too rowdy especially when “Boomtown” kicks in and not even the hallowed Ryman Auditorium could rein them in. Despite the band asking the crowd to keep things calm, and signs posted throughout the venue, a few fans still tossed beer bottles and other objects toward the stage. Even in the Mother Church, the kids misbehaved.
Koe Wetzel is rocking a fit dad bod lately. The same guy who made a career out of partying and not taking care of his body now seems completely locked in on fatherhood, family and a different kind of happiness. Fans are noticing, too. Koe has more energy and fun on stage, in the pictures he shares holding his daughter and soon-to-be wife and many fans comment that this could be the best version of Koe that they’ve ever seen.
Parker McCollum is all about the Giveaways. He has a giveaway going on right now with Dr. Pepper and another one just popped up. Parker is teaming up with Alltroo for a giveaway to see him perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on July 29th.
